What Customers Are Saying
The oak plywood has received mixed reviews. Some customers found the product to be of good quality, with a nice finish that stained well and worked well for various projects. However, a significant number of customers were disappointed with the quality, reporting issues such as a thin veneer prone to flaking, chipping, or sanding through easily, as well as warping and other manufacturing defects. The consensus seems to be that the quality is inconsistent, with the thin veneer and quality issues being the main drawbacks.

I was forced to use delivery for two three quarter inch by 24 in by 48 in of Oak plywood. I have purchased this item before, with no problem. but, that's when I went to the store and picked the pieces out myself. it is quite obvious from the appearance of the two boards that I got, that whoever loaded the order was too lazy to look for decent pieces. but one had water stains and was split on one end. the other had been sanded to the point that the top layer of fly have been sanded off. it also h...
It was one of several good pieces of oak plywood

Read the width!!!! 23 and 3/4 inch wide
I went in Lowes and bought a 2'X4' oak panel, 3/4 " thick. I needed a 20 inch wide piece so I took 4 inches off the long side. I wound up with a 19 3/4 inch wide piece! These panels are only 23 3/4 inches wide!
Splintered when cutting
I bought a 4x8 sheet of this ($90) and found it impossible to work with. It splintered on every cut. I tried taping, blocking and even a new saw blade and could not stop it from splintering. I have been woodworking for 60+ years and have never seen a product splinter this bad. Since the finish piece will be stained I am concerned that the repairs will show. If you are looking for a quality plywood, look elsewhere.
Over priced by far and low quality finish
Lowes Brooklyn - purchased 2024-09-22 I should have looked at the price more carefully and not have assumed a small piece of 4' x 2' would be $44.98 Not only is the price way high. This was badly finished and had manufacteuring defects. Why did Lowes have this on their shelves? Sheesh. Low quality customer service.

The right size I needed for the table I’m building. But, too pricey.

Too many dings
Oak Veneer was nice on one side however it had multiple deep dings. I was not able to remove them by dampening the wood and heating with a steam iron. The cost was 50% of a beautiful 4x8 two sided cabinet grade oak plywood. Not worth the price however I needed it to complete my project.

Good in a pinch
It was really rough. Black stains, scratches, gouges. For the cost and it being a presanded piece, I would have better quality. By the way all the pieces in the rack, 6 of them, were baldy warped. This was the only straight-ish one.
