I bought these to replace the steps from my garage into my house. I like that they are wider and give you a better footing. They took stain very well and after applying 3 coats of rub-on poly they looked really nice.

Hit or miss on density and length. I use these for a slightly different than intended use. They make great shelves. The biggest hurdle It's finding one that's not riddled with holes or severely warped. Also have yet to find two that are the same length.
