Easy set up and amazing how one smoke detector will communicate with another. If there is smoke downstairs it will tell the others what room its in. Highly recommend this product

Saved our lives
We had a leak in our exhaust pipe from our furnace and carbon monoxide was building up in our house. Nest detected the CO at 3 am and alerted us. I’m so thankful for this device!
It just works.
The setup was pretty easy - i like the functionality, just wish it wasn't as expensive as I needed many to cover my home. In spite of the price, it seem that the devices are still worth it to get a dependable connected system.

Easy to Setup and Install.
I purchased 1 Wired (S3003LWES) and 2 Battery (S3000BWES) to replace old detectors. All units were well packaged. I installed the Wired unit first and then added the two battery units the next day. The wired unit is connected to my Internet Gateway. The other two battery units are interconnected to the wired unit on their own Private network. All are working as specified. Check the date of manufacture
I purchased this device after quite a bit of research. Smoke detectors are only good for 10 years after manufacture. Since this is a smart device it will stop working at 10 years. Pro’s include the ease of installation when your have the Nest app, the nightlight provided some light when it detects movement, the unit will notify us of alarms when away from home.
