To file a claim, please call 1-888-77-LOWES (56937) with your Protection Plan reference number, which can be found on your original sales receipt.

The manufacturer typically only covers defects in materials and workmanship for a short time frame starting on the date you purchased the product. A Lowe’s Protection Plan goes above and beyond adding protection after the manufacturer’s warranty expires and covering failures due to normal wear and tear, power surge, as well as additional benefits specific to your covered product.

You have up to 30 days after the original product was purchased to cover it with a Lowe’s Protection Plan. We recommend visiting or calling your local store with the receipt containing the original product purchase. We recommend that you register your plan so our Service Center can assist you as quickly as possible. Call the Lowe’s Service Center at 1-888-77-LOWES (56937) with your receipts in hand.


When your contract expires and if you never made a service claim requiring a repair on your major appliance, you will be reimbursed for 30% of the Major Appliance Protection Plan cost. Call the Lowe’s Service Center at 1-888-77-LOWES (56937) with your receipt in hand within 60 days of the expiration of your plan. Usage of the 50% preventative maintenance benefit does not qualify as a service claim, so you are still eligible for the 30% reimbursement.


If the product is being used for commercial, public rental or communal use purposes then no, the product is not eligible for a Lowe’s Protection Plan. However, if the product is commercial grade but is only being used in a single-family dwelling, then yes, you can cover it with a Lowe’s protection plan. No, your Protection Plan won't be canceled if a claim is filed. Product coverage will end before the expiration of the plan if the product is replaced or a cash settlement is made. A replacement product may be a new, rebuilt or refurbished product of equal or similar features and functionality. If your product can be repaired, your protection plan will remain as is.


You won't be charged to file a claim. There are no deductibles.


Damage that occurs during a move is considered accidental damage. A Lowe's Protection Plan doesn't cover accidental damage, abuse, routine maintenance, consumables or accessories, unless otherwise specified. More exclusions apply. For a complete list, refer to Terms and Conditions. A Lowe's Protection Plan does cover mechanical or electrical failure, normal wear and tear, dust, heat and humidity.
