Step 1

Wash and dry a new drop cloth.

Step 2

Cut out four sections of drop cloth, approximately 6" x 6".

Step 3

Mix four colors in separate bowls. Mix 1 - 2 tablespoons of paint into 1 pint of water for each. Add more or less paint depending on how dark you want the color.

Step 4

Submerge a section of drop cloth into each bowl. Remove and lay flat to dry. Once dry, iron pieces as needed with a cool iron.

Step 5

Cut dyed drop cloth into strips approximately 2" wide.

Step 6

Using a large lace paper doily as a stencil, place the doily over the painted strips of drop cloth. Use a foam brush to fill in the holes with white paint. Let dry.

Step 7

Wrap drop cloth pieces around soap or other gifts. To finish, tie white twine around the package and add a button from your button collection.
