Cut the pegboard to a size that fits your space. We cut ours 1 foot wide and 4 feet long. Sand the cut edges with 120-grit sandpaper and wipe the entire surface clean. Then apply two coats of paint (Indigo Cloth shown) to both sides.
If you don’t have a saw that can cut straight edges on pegboard, ask a Lowe’s associate to cut it to size.
Hold the painted pegboard where you’ll install it on a wall, and mark the pegboard spacer locations on the wall using holes in the corners as a guide. Place spacers no more than 2 feet apart.
At each mark on the wall, install a pegboard spacer. Then screw the pegboard to the spacers using the screws provided.
Sort the metal peghooks into their different types and arrange them on the pegboard according to what you plan to store. Then hang the metal paint screen over the top of the pegboard to store earrings.
