Step 1

Measure the width of the cabinet door center panel -- ours was 12 inches -- and cut moulding strips to that length.

Step 2

Arrange the mouldings on the door until you have a design you like and mark their position on the door panel. (Use the pattern shown or create your own design using different types of moulding in different groupings.) Remove each moulding, apply glue to the back, and place it in position. Clamp and let dry.

Step 3

Prime and paint the door. After it dries overnight, drill holes to mount the door handle of your choice and fasten it in place. Then attach the door to its cabinet hinges.
Good to Know
If you plan to decorate several doors with the same pattern, keep your first door handy as a guide.
