Instructions for Clothespins

Step 1

Spray paint the clothespins a color of your choice.

Good to Know

To paint the entire clothespin in one paint session without missing any angles, take the clothespin apart and hot glue to a wire. Spray-paint, dry, then reconnect the clothespin.

Step 2

Print the butterflies or fish. The printed butterflies and fish will perform better and last longer if you print onto a heavier paper, such as watercolor paper.

Step 3

Clothespin butterflies

Decorate with markers, glitter, stickers, and pom-poms. When you're finished decorating, bend the butterfly wings forward around the body. The butterflies will look more like they're flying!

Step 4

Clothespin fish

Hot glue or glue the butterflies or fish onto the clothespins.

Instructions for Storage Buckets

Step 1

Spray-paint the outside of the bucket. Let dry.

Step 2

Decorative storage buckets

Cut a 7-inch length of beaded chain. Use the chain to attach a number to the bucket's handle.
