Jane Milliman studied horticulture at the State University of New York-Finger Lakes. She is currently the publisher of the Upstate Gardeners' Journal, which she founded in 1995, and president of the Rochester Civic Garden Center. Jane is also the garden columnist for Rochester’s Democrat & Chronicle newspaper and a freelance garden writer and photographer. Jane grew up in Maine, where her family still resides, and now lives and gardens in upstate New York.
