Northeast Gardening: Corner Garden Plan

Brought to you by Lowe's Creative Ideas

Here's a nifty corner garden plan from Lowe's Northeast region gardening contributor Irene Virag.

Northeast Corner Garden Plan

As spring crescendos, a sun-drenched corner sparkles with pink peonies, golden daffodils and clove-scented cheddar pinks. The tall spikes of blue false indigo arise before the purple butterfly bush that steals the scene in summer. Rosy-hued Jupiter's beard stays pretty in pink long after the peonies fade and yellow daylilies take over for the daffodils, hiding the dying bulb foliage. Pincushion flowers start early and stay late, while the evergreen foliage of gleaming-white candytuft anchors the corners year-round.
