This garden plan will give you a bed a with a profusion of fall color, and nary a vibrant leaf to be found among the petals.

fall garden color

Fall color can come from more than just turning leaves. Take this flower bed, for example. It's bursting with color — with nary a vibrant leaf to be found among the petals. This bed starts out with a diameter of about 8 feet, but its oblong shape can expand to accept more and more plants if the fancy strikes you. Give the plants full sun and good drainage, and deadhead regularly for neatness and to encourage a longer period of bloom.
