Here's a quick and easy way to attract birds to your yard with the help of a birdbath and colorful, seed-producing plants.

A bed of flowers welcomes birds

This pretty garden bed is a magnet for people and birds. You and your guests will enjoy the bright, long-lasting color. Birds, on the other hand, will find themselves taking a dip in the birdbath, then staying to nibble on insects and seeds. Some plants, such as daisy fleabane, will self-seed and return year after year. For even more bird-attracting power, add a small tree or structure nearby to serve as a perch.
