Spray the fronts and sides of a dozen 3-inch disposable brushes and six 1-inch disposable brushes with flat white paint. Then spray-paint just the ends a light, flat blue. Glue the 3-inch brushes to a 4-inch-diameter cardboard circle. Arrange and glue the 1-inch brushes to the 3-inch brush handles as shown. Hang the snowflake using one of the brush handle holes.
Connect four of the same style of decorative bracket to form a snowflake-theme design. Begin by laying the brackets on a flat surface arranged with the corners together in the pattern you want. Glue and clamp two adjoining brackets with the flat faces flush and repeat for the other pair. Then glue the two halves. Brackets shown are the pine spindle corner bracket (#35920), pine scroll corner bracket (#35918), and pine corner bracket (#35981).
Gift of Snow
This Nordic-look snowflake stacks birch sticks in two sizes over twine and a torn strip of drop cloth as a replacement for a traditional gift-wrap bow.
Stenciled Bath Stool and Pillow
Decorate this simple DIY bath stool with snowflakes for the holidays. After the holidays, swap out the skirt for plain fabric or another design of your choice. After you make the stool, use the same stencil to decorate a pillow cover in your favorite fabric.
