Step 1

Use the curves in the copper tubing as it comes from the package and gently twist and bend the metal into the shape you want. Cutting the tubing to make two smaller sculptures is optional.

Step 2

Crease in bent copper tubing.

Work slowly to adjust the loops of copper, using your thumbs to support the metal inside the curve. Making too sharp a bend can crease the metal.

Step 3

Copper can be left to age slowly on its own. If you want to maintain a shiny appearance, apply a copper polish to the metal as needed, wipe clean, and apply several light coats of spray lacquer in a well-ventilated location.
