Step 1

Mosaic tile soap dish, step 1

Collect tile and ceramic pieces. Include costume jewelry or broken china for a personal touch. Select pieces with raised details for added dimension in the finished design.

Step 2

Mosaic tile soap dish, step 2
Seal the clay saucer with stone and tile sealer.

Step 3

Mosaic tile soap dish, step 3
Cut the pieces with tile nippers (wear safety goggles and gloves while cutting tile). Then, spread a small amount of tile adhesive onto the saucer with a putty knife. Press the tile pieces into the adhesive (use a toothpick to adjust the pieces). Start in the middle and work your way out to the edges and around the sides and bottom. If using shards of varying thickness, press them in at different depths for a more even surface. Let set for 24 to 48 hours.

Step 4
