No replacement parts
Buyers need to be aware of the impossibility of obtaining replacement parts for this product and Allen + Roth products in general. Upon installation of two of A+R products (a 5-light chandelier and a 3-way vanity bar) a small crack in the globes was noticed. I called customer service only to be told that I should have read the instructions and inspected each globe prior to install and that replacement parts were just not offered and there was no way to back order a replacement part. Love this light
We tried 2 from what Lowe's had to offer in store but they looked too typical. We were looking for more of an industrial look than farmhouse, and this one was just the look we were looking for. We hung it above the Gatco tilting mirror with beveled edges from Lowes (only $98!) The only negative with the light is that the it puts off is a very warm, dim, yellow-ish light so I would make sure it is not your only light source. We have a small bright lamp on the vanity top. Form over function
The spherical nuts mounting the light to the bracket are suboptimal, especially if the threads are imperfect as mine were. I installed this in an old house. Maybe if your boxes are brand new and perfect it might make life easier, but for my application I was better off using nuts than the ones which come with the light.
Hardware included does not work
The light is beautiful, but the hardware included in every set does not work. The mounting screws are entirely too long making the light impossible to mount. My husband returned the first light and got another of the same hoping they just messed up with the first set of screws, but the second set was the same. Nice light for a decent price
I searched everywhere for a light like this but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. At least without paying $300 for it. Even then the light was not what I was looking for. I looked at this Allen and Roth light quite some time ago but dismissed it as a possibility only because the color was off. The 4 screws (2 short, 2 long ) fastners that came with the kit were to short and to long for a proper install. Note kit was being installed without a junction box.
