I bought two of these for my little lime hydrangea trees. They look like concrete but they are plastic and lightweight. I did have to drill in drainage holes but it took only a minute. I have 6 of these pots. 3 of them I wanted to match my house so I primed them with some Killz and painted them with exterior house paint. Those 3 pots are holding up great. The other 3 pots I did nothing to except adding dirt and plants. After about 3-6 months the paint on all 3 of the pots all around the rims started chipping off in pretty big chunks.
