Terrible pump
Had my 1 HP pump for just over a year. So no coverage, I'm jut out $500. Hopefully if you purchase this pump it goes out within the first year so you can actually get it replaced. Seems very consistent that these pumps don't last long. Would not recommend buying this pump unless you want to gamble with $500.

Lasted 18 months. Z pumps use to be the best. Waste of time and money. If you buy this pum you will buy it again within 2 years.

Won’t last
Had to replace the pump in my 300 foot well, that lasted 14 years. Chose the zoeller 1 horse, $479.00 plus tax. Pump lasted 18 months, now I’m having to replace again. Pump only has 1 year warranty. I’m buying another brand. I do not recommend this brand, keep reading the reviews, wish I had the, would have saved money, time, and work.

Recommend with reservations
I purchased this pump because Zoeller has had a good reputation for quality. After a 3 hour round trip to get it, I installed the pump and controller and turned on the breaker only to hear the controller blow out. I called customer service (Zoeller was very good on the phone and after some resistance testing advised me that either the pump or the controller was bad), made another 3 hour trip for another controller only to have it slowly fail. Pulled the pump again, another 3 hour trip, new pump ...

Buy the better brand including the control box
It was just as expensive as the better one available that came with a control box. I didn't realize this until it was too late. It only has a 1-year warranty which is ridiculously low. I hope it doesn't mess up within in one year but chances are, it might.. boo

The 3 wire w/ground model contains the capacitor and relay above ground if you prefer that style. One is not better than the other but different parts of the country have their preferences. No controller box
The pump is a 3 wire. But the pump needs a controller box to work. Since you don't sell one the pump is useless without it. 3 wire pumps have to have a controller, 2 wire pumps don't need one.

Lasted 7 months, fortunately it was still under warranty, but the warranty is only 1 year. I got my money back, fortunately, and went with a different brand with a better warranty.
