I bought one of Zoellers 2 wire pumps years ago and it lasted about 10 months. I returned it to Lowes and ended up getting an Everbilt which lasted 5 or 6 years. This last November I decided to give Zoeller another chance and got the 3 wire 1/2 hp pump figuring that at least with the 3 wire design you remove the possibility that the start capacitor blows at the bottom of the well and you could replace this up top. Did not last long
The water pump hasn't been changed in our well for over 20 years. In May 2021 it went out and we bought the Zoeller 1/2-HP 230-Volt Stainless Steel Submersible Well Pump to replace it. It quit working this month and we had to replace it once again. The warranty has expired, so this will be out of pocket. I would expect a pump to last at least 5 years but hopefully longer. Failed 4 months past warranty
I installed this pump 4/2024 and it has failed 8/2025, 4 months past the warranty period. Short circuit in the motor. Livestock without water for hours. DO NOT use this pump for an application where water supply is critical. Caveat emptor!
