What Customers Are Saying
This dishwasher is generally well-received for its effective cleaning performance and quiet operation. Many users praise its ability to thoroughly clean dishes without pre-rinsing, as well as its adjustable racks and sleek design. However, some customers report issues with drying, noting dishes come out wet even when using rinse aid. Additionally, the normal wash cycle is described as lengthy, taking around 3 hours. While the majority of users are satisfied with the dishwasher's reliability and durability, a small subset have experienced problems with it breaking down within a couple of years.

The dishes do not come out hot and dry after the fan dry cycle; they are almost all completely wet and cool. The machine does a good job of cleaning the dishes, but the dry cycle is a failure in my opinion. I have to towel dry all the dishes when the cycle is finished.

Barely lasted 5 years before impt part failed
Well, when I first bought this dishwasher, it was quiet and seemed to work well. It was a bit of a shock going from my previous GE dishwasher that averaged 45 minutes to wash dishes to a dishwasher that takes 3 hours to do the same job. The "quick wash" cycle is still an hour. We simply changed our routine and started washing dishes overnight. Even with the fan dry, the dishes still would be wet when the cycle was complete. We'd crack the door and let everything finish air drying before putting...

plusses and minuses
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] + the good news (quieter than expected from Consumers Reports, high value for price, cleans well, dries very well, light stays on until reset indicating dishes clean) - the bad news (water inlet faces floor requires 90 degree inlet hose not provided, multiple sizes of attachment clips not provided-must cut steel clips for some installation) - the very very bad news, the racks are the VERY WORST I have had in more than 55 years of owning di...

Decent, basic machine
After 3 years of use, here are the highs and lows: Highs: holds a lot of dishes; upper rack is adjustable in height and can accommodate large, odd-shaped items; filters are easy to clean; fairly quiet during most of the cycle; cleans well if the appropriate cycle and detergent are used for the soil level and water hardness. Lows: The wide area on the left side of the lower rack that holds platters would have befitted from fold-down tines so that it could be used for plates; silverware baskets ...

garbage
one of the pumps stopped working only after 2 years, they are making things more garbage than ever.
Dishes are clean, but.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dishwasher works great, dishes are clean, very quiet, but everything is very wet when finished. I guess I thought that with the fan and the heat, it would be less wet inside after it’s done. Even after hours waiting for it to cool down, there’s still a lot of water and I have to dry numerous items off.

Great features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the fan dry feature, the dishes are usually dry at the end of the cycle. The silverware holder with the open bin is an improvement over earlier models that had a two piece silverware holder.

Only lasted a couple years
The dishwasher worked good when it was brand new, but after only a couple of years, I noticed the dishes weren’t getting clean. Then the rack adjuster on the top broke. Then the spray arm came off during the wash cycle and melted into the heating mechanism on the bottom of the dishwasher and when I inspected it, it was completely full of black mildew, looking material inside and had basically crumbled into pieces. I am so fortunate it did not cause a house fire.

Important Info to Know That I Wasn’t Aware Of
First, ordering this online is a little unclear. I was given the date of the delivery and a range of 8am to 8pm. That is a big range so I called them the date before the delivery and I was told that the delivery company will call that evening to give you a more exact timeframe plus they will call you when they are about 1/2 hour away. I did not know this and it was not mentioned in the order. Delivery: No issues. Quick & Easy. The guys already came up to the door with the DW in hand. I told ...
DO NOT BUY this dishwasher!!!!!
I bought this dishwasher for my mother in November 2022. It stopped working January 2025. The repairman (paid for at my expense) said the motor was burned out and would need to be replaced. The dishwasher in no longer under warranty because it is more than one year old. The repairman said I would be better off replacing the dishwasher due of the cost of the part and labor. A dishwasher should last more than 2 years 2 months. I will never again buy a whirlpool appliance. As a matter of fac...
