Great switch! (STS1 ST Switch)

I purchased this ST Switch along with the WGen9500DFc generator, got it set up in a short time, conducted a test run, and it worked great! There are only two outlets coming from the ST Switch so I haven’t tried more than that. My question would be, for instance, if I would have my entertainment system, which is on a surge protector that has my 65”tv, Bose surround system, tv box for streaming, a Bose DVD player, and my home internet box all plugged into it, would I be able to operate them all by...

beware of operation

does not operate as presented safely as per cust. service rep. Cant leave fuel on or will drain propane tank. pretty much defeates reason to get one.

Does the job, some flaws, but would not by again.

First, the instruction manual is a bit slim on instructions and not well written. It tells you there are " two 240V transfer circuits " without further instruction or explanations. The description of the unit says that you have 2 single pole 20A circuits. Which is it? and how do you connect them? And why only 2 20A and can you add more to replace the 15A? Also, the labeling on the wiring is horrible. You can hardly see the letter that designate the wires and it took me about half an hour to figu...

Does not transfer

I bought two of these. Neither transfers the load to generator power. They start and stop the generator, but never switch the power feed. I have been working with Westinghouse for months to get this resolved. They admitted that there were some manufactured that were wired wrong. They have sent me two new units, and they don't work either. Still trying to get a working device from them.

Hire an Electrician

I purchased this switch in order to connect my Westinghouse Portable Generator to the Power terminal I use for my RV. The idea being, when the power goes out, the ST Switch will automatically start the generator without me needing to do anything. I hired an Electrician, he came out and helped me set up the system. Well, it doesn't work. As soon as I removed the ST Switch, everything started working fine. Sure I had to start the generator manually, but at least it supplies my RV with power. ...

Awesome purchase

I bought this two months ago and it’s been great. I love the transfer switch. It makes it so easy to just turn on when the power goes out. It runs so nicely. It was super easy to set up and love the color.

Thge switch would not start WGen 9500 generator!

When tested IAW the manual, the switch does not start WGen 9500 DF generator upon loss of the utility power (simulated by unplugging household plug from the switch). It will, however, stop the generator (started manually), after the utility power is resored. I beleve this is a systemic problem, since there are many similar reviews lately.

Won't turn the generator on.

We purchased the ST switch and the 9500 dual fuel generator last month. The St switch would not start the generator so we contacted Westinghouse and they determined that the switch was bad. We returned the switch and ordered a new one. We are having the same problem. The ST switch will not turn the generator on when we simulate a power failure but it will shut the generator down when the power comes back on.
