Big, heavy, hard to maneuver
It’s very effective. It is very powerful for cleaning wet, heavy snow and the directional chute is very easy to operate. This is a huge plus. However, it’s large, heavy and unwieldy. It’s very difficult to maneuver. Even on the lowest setting, it’s hard to control. It can’t be moved sideways without completely lifting it up. At least it has a reverse function.
A lot of features at a good price
I’ve been looking for a two-stage snowblower for quite a while and was able to pick this up at a great price. It had more options and features than some of the others that were more expensive. Looking forward to the next big snow so I can put it to work.
unuseable
3 adults of different ages tried this in 3 to 4 inches of snow. there are no wheels and it is very heavy. you push this heavy item along the cement. how long are those plastic runners going to last? for 300usd we expected something useable. none of us could get it to clear snow....one ended up w badly bruised ribs, when the blower froze n the battery pack hit her with force. avoid this item
Poor customer service from lowes
I tried to use my new toro 724 for the first time yesterday and found that the left wheel wasn't being self propelled only the right one. I tried to contact lowes about it since it arrived broken but they wouldn't do anything about it since it was just past the 30 day window. It was a surprise from my wife so I had no way of knowing till now. I do not recommend purchasing it through lowes.
Pickup Hiccups
The product has been great on the first use. We ordered for store pick up a couple weeks ago. There was some miscommunication with the night staff and they completed the order without it actually being assembled. The staff in the morning when we got to the store explained the situation and put the machine together. We used it for the first time today and there’s two pins missing from the chute, one of the reverse gears isn’t working, and my husband had to tighten some of the bolts. Overall an o...
Don't buy from Lowe's
Haven't used it yet, so I can't fully answer this question; however, I did fill it with gas and started it. It runs fine, but the traction lever doesn't work, i.e. it won't go forward or back when you depress the lever. It was delivered in an inoperable condition. I could have sent it back and waited an additional two weeks to get a replacement or drive 50 miles in the opposite direction from Lowe's (Lowe's is 55 miles from my house) to drop it off at an authorized repair center. (Lowe's does n...

212cc 24”
Seems built well. Drive gearing is not easily adjusted and mine goes forward in first reverse spot. If I make the minimum adjustment possible, it’s off the other direction. Does great with fluffy snow, but boggs up and down when it gets into harder material. I would suggest going with the slightly larger 250cc motor and same size blower for ideal power.
Good basic machine.
Seems like a decent basic machine for smaller driveways. Only used it once in about 4 or 5 inches of fluffy snow which it handled easily. It's light and easy to maneuver which is good in smaller storms, hopefully it's heavy enough to provide good traction in deeper snow amounts.
Reliable, Strong, and Perfect for Midwest Winters
The Toro Power Max 824 OE has been a great workhorse. It’s powerful enough to cut through heavy, wet Indiana snow without bogging down, and the 24-inch clearing width makes quick work of most driveways. For commercial use, it’s been dependable and easy to handle. Maneuverability is solid, the controls are simple, and it throws snow far enough to keep walkways clean without piling it up where you don’t want it. Overall, it’s a strong choice for anyone running a snow-removal route or managing mul...
engine surges brand new 2nd unit
this is my second unit. the first one was replaced after 1 week. The engine surges under load as did the first one. Evidently the governor may be to blame but i should not have to disassemble it to fix. shoulda bought a craftsman
