Therma-Tru Benchmark Fiberglass Half Lite Door with Yale Smart Lock

I was pleased with the overall quality and price, but after putting the door in place and trying to open it to place shims it would not open. The staples that were put in the door jamb were in very deep and through the top of the door. Damage fortunately was minimal, but the inconvenience and mess caused by the caulk I had put in place was not fun.

This door is perfect for what we need.

Snug fit

Installed by contractor, a little tight to close, just gotta give it a pull. The space for the door frame was already tight and didn't need shims. The reason for the 4 star rating is the cut out for the dead bolt lock was just a little off. Contractor had to notch the lower portion of the bolt receptacle in the frame so I could throw the dead bolt. Outside of that, the door seems great.

great door except it is inset in the jamb

This was picked out by my contractor for my side door and he said he had to pull out several before he found one that was not damaged . some damaged by careless handling by store employees or by shippers or just by people looking at them . He did have to fit it in my 2x6 stud walls as the wait time for these doors is months . I bought a door knobe set and found out that it is for flush mount exterior doors and the strike plate that goes on the jamb side is bent for flush mount door . Lucky i h...

Amazing door

Installation was straight forward. We had to remove the trim for our particular installation but it was easy to remove and reinstall. The windows are great quality and the frame is amazing. The only complaint I have is that the door was a tad bit scuffed at pickup but nothing major as the door is being painted anyway.

I ordered this online for curbside pickup and I wish I hadn't. I am baffled at why a $400 door isnt worth a piece of cardboard to protect it. I get that it is an unfinished door, but the doors in this store ALL look bad. none are in boxes, they look like they have been dropped on the floor a few times. The door itself is OK, but the sill is dinged, the brickmould is split on both sides, and I'm pretty sure the blue dented gouge in it came from the associate 'gently' placing it on the cart. ...
