Meant for a Surround

I wish it was more obvious this is meant to be installed with a bathroom surround. There is a lip on it that the surround is meant to sit on, and while you can tile around it, that can really mess up the dimensions for your other stuff (like our shower door that had a hard minimum required to fit in the alcove and this would have made it too small by an inch).

Not designed for a remodel

Nice tub but not designed for a remodel unless you have access from at least the backside. The plastic tub is not molded level. If your floor is perfectly level, which it has to be to install the surround, the tub bottom has to be shimmed to make it level. Not what I expected. It was installed in an older home with foundation issues. Overcoming that, I got the floor perfectly level. Imagine my surprise when the tub was not level on the floor. Going back to the directions, it says to shim ...

I’m loving the sterling tub!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m loving the sterling tub!! It’s durable, comfortable, and has some extra depth compared to other tubs. It’s easy to clean, sturdy, and doesn’t hold on to stains. This tub is a great addition for any bathroom

Arrived broken

Same story as other customers - ordered from Lowes, tub came damaged with clearly a manufacturing defect (the finish had pock marks in it). Don't buy this unless you can look at it in store. Especially since Lowe's won't refund the delivery fee, or pick it up to return it. So you'll end up renting a truck anyways.

Damaged in Box

Nice product, however, the initial tub (just like the surround) came damaged and needed to be returned. Check inside the box before leaving the store!

Be absolutely sure of the size you need.

Was a good quality product, however due to the size that i was replacing it with and the mismeasuring of my customer over the phone, it was the wrong size and therefore had to return it for a refund.

Junk!!

This tub really deserves no stars. I’ve had this tub for a little less than 7 years and I just noticed a huge crack inside the tub on the side wall. It wasn’t there last week when I cleaned it so I have no clue what happened especially considering where the crack is. I should have known this tub was junk after the first year of having it, I started noticing small “spider cracks” inside the tub along the sides. They seem to be more on the surface and although they’re definitely an eyesore I wasn’...

Very spacious and comfortable tub

Love the size. We’re still putting our bathroom together, but have sat in it before, and it’s very roomy and comfortable. Really looking forward to being able to use it.

Great quality for the Price

So far we are quite pleased with this tub. Out of the box it was in perfect condition, no chips, waves or cracks. We realized it was just a little more work than a couple of diy’ing ladies were confident to do. We hired a friend and it was a breeze. He installed both a barrier and mortar base and everything clicked together with the coordinating surround.
