Good Value for the Money

This cutter comes in a vacuum-formed plastic display-case holder so you need to find a suitable container for it after you cut open the package. It also doesn't come with a 1/2 inch arbor so you need one of those before you can begin. To cut mild steel with a 4.5" cutter the RPMs need to be really low (about 60 RPM) so I had to use my end mill which has a DC motor and electronic speed control (my bench drill press belt settings only went down to 250 RPM). Very Disappointed

I got this hole saw thinking that it would be better than the Lenox standard blade it was replacing (Lenox lost a tooth, but only after serious abuse cutting notches in steel) because of the carbide tips... Boy was I WRONG. After only FOUR cuts, it has all but completely lost its temper and refuses to cut even mild steel, no matter how much lubrication I use. I would have been better off with getting TWO of the Lenox for the money, because that blade STILL cuts better than this one!

Does not fit Hex 10 arbor

Bought this bit for notching metal pipe. So far it is cutting well, will try to cut a lot of pipe tomorrow. On the package it says it “fits all Spyder Hex 10 arbors” I bought the hole saw kit next to in that came with a Hex 10 arbor and it will not fit. Brought it home and it fits my Lenox brand arbor which is an 8. A little frustrating that I bought the whole other kit to go with this one because the package says it’s compatible and it isn’t.

For Wood, Great; For Metal, Garbage

Killed one of these saws with a single cut in 20 ga mild steel. Teeth literally folded over. Well lubricated and fixed in a drill press at a low speed and very low pressure. Utterly useless. Had to finish the cut with an old Lenox bi-metal saw.

overpriced big hype for nothing

For a set of bore bits to cost this much then to be let down is Sad the 2.inch bore bit bent right over tryed to contact company via Email twice no responce finally Lowes customer service gave me a refund

Cuts easily and cleanly. The long pilot bit length in the Spyder 3/8-in quick change arbor (Item #: 1357752) makes starting a hole on an angle a lot easier.

Amazing

I needed to cut in holes for new plumbing in an old house and these things ripped right through nails, metal, and such like butter.

Hardi Plank soffit

Used this at work to cut out some bath fan penetrations and was a beast.

Terrible

Purchased to notch metal tubing and the tip of the bit mushroomed out halfway through the first cut.
