Instructions
Remove the sod and dirt to a depth of 2 inches.
Keep the sod slightly wet if you plan to reuse it.
Compact the soil using a hand tamper.
Check the area with a level. Adjust if necessary by adding or removing soil as needed and tamping again.
Add approximately 2 inches of gravel base and spread evenly using a garden rake.
Wet the paver base with a garden hose and tamp down. Then add another 1/2 inch of paver base and tamp again, keeping the base level.

I ordered 30 bags of lime. The bags were perfect, dry and no clumps. Curbside pickup is awesome! If you purchase more than 10 bags, you receive a better price. Lowes will be my choice for lime purchases in the future.

My lawn guy spread this for me 3 weeks ago. My lawn looks better then 2023 & 2024 when 2 different guys reined my lawn. Looked TERRIBLE. Uneven size distribution of the pellets
Scott's drop spreader did not work well with it. No recommended spreader setting listed on bag. Pellets were of inconsistent size; sometimes larger pellets jammed up the spreader and left inadequate amounts of lime, and dust or tiny pellets caused too much lime to be dropped on the lawn. Jammed pellets also caused lime to be dropped on sidewalks or the cement driveway, even though the spreader handle had been released (because pellets were jammed in the spreader mechanism).

I use 40 lbs. for 5,000 sqd feet of lawn.
This item super charges my lawn soil (mostly clay based) to increase the various lawn treatment during the growing season. I also use it in late fall to prepare the lawn for a long winter period.
