Schlage Plymouth Bright Brass Door Knob Collection

Schlage door lock and handle set.

Great hardware for a door that has this same hardware 20 years ago. Identical and still in production because it just works.

I had the same style in another brand. This fit!

I like that it feels good in my hand when I grab the handle. It also feels like a quality piece that will last many years to come!

Drop-in replacement.

Unit was an almost drop-in replacement for the 25 year old part that it replaced. I had to enlarge the through-hole at the bottom of the handle to admit the new bolt arrangement. However, the new unit weighs less than half of what the old unit did. I'm not optimistic that I'll get 25 years out of the new one.

Read the manual first!

The Plymouth style handle set was a typically high quality product. The installation was a straight forward replacement for a previous Schlage lock set. All went smoothly until it came time to insert the snap cap over the lower handle bolt head. The cap had apparently arrived slightly damaged in the packaging. The circular beveled edge was bent inward, which made it difficult to pop it onto the bolt head. Otherwise, the lock works flawlessly. P.S. Love the Satin Nickel finish.

New lock, beautiful, the rekeys is not good.

I think the locking shaft is a little short, other that that is a beautiful set. Also i had my new lock rekeys, its seem like it wasn't rekeys very good at all. It takes a little bit to get in thru my door.

Exactly what I needed with one annoying problem.

I purchased this to replace the same "Plymouth" handset we've had on our front door for ages. The old one held up beautifully and is still in perfect working condition. But - It is brass finish and we just changed all hardware to satin nickel. The annoying problem? The new handle had a couple of parts that were slightly different than the old one which meant opening up one of the holes in the door and a lot of "fiddling" to get things to fit. So, installation was not the easy job I had hoped fo...

Half and half

One of the screws and threads was messed up but thankfully I was able to reinstall the old dead bolt and install a new latch and knob. So basically half the product was perfect and the other half useless. Might be good to test out the screws and threads prior to installation!! This product was expensive to throw away half of it 😭

Incomplete Bolt Hole

One of the two bolt holes was not properly tapped. I was able to easily drive one bolt all the way but the other became difficult after the first 1/2" or so. I removed the bolt several times and carefully reinserted it by hand but it always stopped at the same place in the hole. It took a lot of force to get the bolt the rest of the way. Despite placing the bolt face on a soft carpet, the applied force caused a noticeable rub mark and slight dent that marred the otherwise nice appearance.

Really nice looking front door set

Easy to install and looks great. Replaced an existing Schlage set for a different finish. Hopefully this set is made as well as the old set and will last a very long time. My only complaint is that when ordering multiple sets your cannot ask for they to be keyed alike. Your have to buy them and have the store rekey them.

Knock knock open the door!

Always a great product when you go with Schlage. Installs in less than 20 minutes and looks luxurious. The replacement was needed due to the age (40+ years) of the original entry door knob and lock style.
