Measure top to bottom of outside handle

The length of the outside handle was shorter than what was replaced. How would one know to measure?

Looks great and easy to install

We were replacing an older similar door knob and dead bolt. I was concerned that the hole at the bottom of the handle wouldn't match. This door handle has a movable slot that can move up and down to fit the existing hole. It fit perfectly. Easier to install than what I had expected.

One missing item

We bought this set to replace our old one. The internal screw receptacles had stripped out. We love the color and all, but unfortunately the new boxed one was missing a screw and we had to rob one from an unused knob. The old screws had been super glued so we could maintain security until the new one arrived; therefore not usable.

Fairly Easy To Install

I liked the look of it. Bought it to replace one that looked like it on my front door. It didn't exactly fit the old holes, but I figured it out. Had to drill another hole, and kind of finesse it to make it fit. But if a 73 year old woman can do it, probably anyone can!

Replacement that looks and works great!

Easy installation. I like that they designed the bottom insert for the mount bolt in an adjustable track to accommodate different hole placements in the door! No need to drill a different hole for the bottom mount. Works like a champ!

Bad Lock Set

The deadbolt worked fine but the bolt assembly for the bottom set was cared for and lubricated properly but broke in pieces within three years of usage. Now, I cannot find spare parts and it appears I am going to have to spend over $100 for a whole new lockset! The last assembly I had on my door lasted for over twenty years! I would not recommend this one at all.

SECOND TIME THIS LATCH HAS FAILED

I purchased Schlage because we had Schlage locks on all of our exterior doors. The finish has held up, I do have a front door sheltered by the overhanging porch. My gripe is that the first set I bought failed within the first 90 days. The lock in the decorative latch handle will not retract all the way. Well, every product has a manufacturing mistake, I thought. Now, its replacement, has failed after 6 years. The deadbolt lock has always worked well. I hate that I am going to have to pay...
