I have had this electric cooktop for less than one year. When it works, it is fine. There are two problems with this. When the cooktop gets wet i.e. a boiling pot will drop condensation onto the cooktop, then the cooktop will power off. So you have to let the burners cool, then wipe them down and turn on the unit again. First, when a pot is boiling and it sprays onto the cooktop, the cooktop becomes damp and the power shuts off to all burners. I have used the cooktop for a month now. The things my wife and I do not like. The cooktop controles are hard to read and adjust. They need to light up and stay lite so they can be seen when on. We both do not like the magnetic control knob its more of a gimmick. We find ourselves using our fingers to control the elements. The knob only works 50% of the time and is very frustrating.
