It works when I need it.

Soo far I've only used the impact driver and it work great. I purchased the SKIL mainly because I also have a blower that uses the same battery. Both work great.

Great tools at a decent price

As a facilities maintenance worker, I occasionally need to drill a few holes or drive some fasteners. Skil. A revamped brand.

Wow! What a difference. Sold my Milwaukee set and got these. A battery and charger like none other (look in to it). The quality & power on these tools are amazing. So impressed, I decided to get everything Skil. Even my lawn & garden tools. I got a mix of 20v & 12v. Some of the 12v are smaller in size than their 20v counterpart but still pack plenty of power. I CAN DIANTLE ANYTHING LOL

The 1/2 inch cordless drill is great! Especially the metal chuck. Anything with good quality and metal where it needs to be is always 100 in my book. IMPACT ON THE OTHER HAND.. idk if it is just me or if in the first power mode it doesn't what it's supposed to. Also just a little preference having the pull the bit insert to lock in place is kind of slow for me.. the craftsman I busted had that quick release where you just pushed and it clicked and locked. A little more to be desired with the chuck

The drill and impact is great but I have 2 complaints with the drill, 1 the locking chuck comes loose easily, 2 if you need to do a job that requires high starting torque it is difficult due to because it doesn’t like starting under high load, but once it gets started at a decent rpm it has plenty of power to get most jobs done.

Nice combo Drill and Impact Driver. NOTICE the torque adjuster buttons on the base of the Driver, I had to call Skil to learn about it. Enough power for me. Battery has been OK just started using. One would like a second battery but these are not too expensive. You will also want the driver to 1/4 and 3/8 socket adapters.

On sale?

The impact driver works well, three speeds. Low speed will prevent destroying light duty jobs. (between a 4 and 5 rating) The drill is kind of cheap, CHECK THE BATTERIES BEFORE PURCHASE!. Seems to be an issue. bought in Mar for $99 now $79. Will need to reevaluate in the future.

Skill Impact Review

I absolutely love thes 2 drill and the battery life is unbelievable if I'd had known the extremely well built quality of skill products i would have switched from dewalt, kobalt, Milwaukee years ago my only complaint is the torque power for either drill doesn't seem to be as high as my dewalt but still I would recommend both/either of these products to the youngest/eldest adult that would ask

Batteries friends

I love the set! The impact has a little bit of trigger lag but once you get comfortable with the different modes, its easy to use. As i said in the title, “BATTERIES FRIENDS!” You will need to purchase an extra battery if this is your first powercore20 set, if not you may still like an extra battery so as to keep all of your tools useable on the job.
