You probably won't find one but if you do, avoid!

The item was on clearance. I now know why. After about 5 days use, the foot pedal became inoperable rendering this trash can - just trash.

Rubbermaid Kitchen can

Works great. Had a simple human can that broke. This one seems much better built

Didn't last a year and replaced with basic unit

Overall its a decent trash can. Not sure its really worth the money as after one year of use the hinge broke so not it cannot open with the foot pedal. Do not see anything about warranty for this. UPDATED: contacted the seller/Rubbermaid. After almost 2 months of not hearing anything, they confirmed they were sending a replacement unit. We received that today April 1st 2025 to find they did not send a replacement unit but just another trash can that was similar but does not have all the feature...

Idiotic features

Whoever designed this trashcan should be fired. Why would you have a locking mechanism that just locks the lid flap, but the top is easily openable by a dog or child?

Good Kitchen Garbage Pail

I like the garbage pail a lot. Durable and inside of lid is not metal so you don't have to worry about rusting, as has happened to other pails I have bought. The only draw back so far is the difficulty of draping the garbage bag over the rim. It is very tight and need to use some force to get the last corner on. If using a cheap bag I don't think it will hold up, trying to get it on. I like that the cover opens easily with a foot peddle as well as being able to easily lock it in the open positio...

Nice durable trash can the odor is kept at bay by

Big enough for a family of 4 to use very sturdy the foot pedal is easy to use. The design if very minimalist the lid helps keep odor at bay. Easy to find a small area to put it

Not durable with light use

I purchased this can approximately seven months ago. I have opened the lid assembly to change the bag no more than once per week during that time. The plastic frame under the outer lid assembly has already broken, and the lift mechanism for the lid no longer functions fully. This product appeared well constructed when I purchased it, and I have been very satisfied with previous Rubbermaid products that I've purchased for my home and garage. This product does not hold up to those expectations...

Design Flaw

After stepping on the pedal too many times I got the lid stem to work. However my issue is I seem to have to stretch the 13 gallon trash bag over the rim to fit. It is snug but the dimensions on the design of the rim could have been a few millimeters smaller. If one of those corner flanges breaks the can is totally useless. This is a $30 can at most.

lid doesn't close properly

The lid does not seem to close properly. It seems the metal rod is supposed to click into place on a plastic pice of the lid, but it doesn't and I am unable to push it into place. This causes the lid not to close properly. The QR code directions are worthless because they imply the piece easily falls into place. It is always very irritating when something doesn't work from the outset. If this worked, it would be great.
