I've had this Ring doorbell for about a year. Installed on my second home, a shore house that I visit every weekend in the summer, and otherwise about once a month. Video quality is pretty good on it, day time viewing is great. Night vision is a little dark to see, but it is on me due to where I had to mount it. I mounted it directly on the door, the only problem with that is it picks up the white trimming around the door more than anything in the dark. My husband and I like the door bell, but, the handyman sent out by Angi, was not very useful, he did not speak english very well, wich made the appointment very difficult. I also do not know why they would send out someone at 6pm to do a job outside, since it is dark then. No way to reconnect if it goes offline when NOT home

I’m sure most are familiar with Ring which is a great system but a lot of people don’t realize the downfalls to it. It has a job and alert you right to your phone or whatever device you have. It doesn’t mention that if it disconnects while you’re out of town, there’s no way to reconnect it without being present in person next to the ring camera. We bought this a few months ago and have yet to have a single week without issue. TL;DR: this is an overpriced, ok looking brick about 70% of the time. Do not rely on this as a means to replace a doorbell and certainly do not rely on this for security.
