Having to replace over 10 poor quality rainbird impact sprinklers every year. Weak springs, cheap plastic indicate that rain bird has chosen greed over quality. Find an alternate brand that doesn't cause you such a cost.

replacing at least 2 of 7 heads every year. after 3 yrs I was replacing 2yr old heads. the accuator mechanism wears/breaks and they stop accuating. true to form another 2 yr head broke this yr. replacing with rotary. I like impact heads, but rainbird let the quality go to save a $.

It’s a great water sprinkler
I like it because it reminds me of the old modern days water sprinklers I dislike it because I don’t have enough water pressure to push it up so he can work as the spring was a little lighter that would help

Easy to adjust
I use these sprinklers for my septic irrigation system and they work really well. They last about 4 - 5 years and are easy to repair and maintain. If you do have to replace one you don’t have to dig it up out of the ground. I just purchase a new one and exchange (remove the inner sprinkler from the casing and install the new one) or unscrew the old insert and install the new. It only takes a few minutes.

Overall like these sprinklers because the top covers the hardware. More expensive than smaller sprinkler heads, plus you have to get the sprinkler going to adjust the pattern and distance. I wanted to preset the pattern and distance adjustments, but its hard to pry up the top and make those adjustments. A small lip in the top would help this.
