1) The instruction to drill a 5/16” hole for the lag screws is wrong. That size hole is way too large for the lag screws provided. I could literally push the screw into the hole. I ended up having to shift the entire track and re-drill since the holes were useless and needed to be filled. 2) The wheels do not turn easily and there is no way to loosen them. Works perfect and looks great!

Everything installed really easily and it looks beautiful. Used it to close in my covered porch area in the backyard. Been working good for over a year now without issue. Posting a review because I just bought a second one to replace a normal door. They just look so good!

Missing Parts

The product did look good when we opened the box but the five extensions that go behind the bar into the wall were missing. We looked high and low on the instruction sheet for a phone number to contact when there is a missing part or problem but there was no number. Apparently this product that was made in Vietnam was not supposed to have missing parts so that’s probably why they did not give us a phone number to call. Mounting holes not standard stud spacing

Purchased this because it was a great deal. However, the holes on the metal tracks are 17 3/4” on center and do not align with standard residential stud spacing of 16” on center. This means you must either mount them in drywall (dumb) or install a header track board (also dumb). Most quality barn doors are solid and heavy, why would the manufacturer produce these with holes that don’t meet standard stud spacing?!?! Will be returning. Do not recommend.

Would recommend with caveat

Overall it's a sturdy, nice looking product. It's functional so far (just installed it though, so early to say eg longevity). But installation became difficult after following the instructions to pre drill with 5/16" bit. The lag screws aren't sufficiently biting into the wood that is pre drilled; looking at them I should have used 1/4" bit instead. I'm not sure why they specify 5/16" when that's too big to be reliable (maybe in old, more dense studs it's ok? Not new studs where the wood is less...

adding to a prior review

I wish I could edit my original review. I finished the installation (the small things.) the install instructions are abysmal. unlike the directions show, you have to put the door stops in place along the track BEFORE you mount the track - they can't slide past the lag screws/spacers. would not buy.

Promising quality and a sleek modern look

Seems solid right out of the box and the instructions look straightforward. I haven't installed it yet, but I am thrilled to get it up and see the modern, industrial look it brings. If installation gets tricky, I might drop a star.

High quality barn door hardware.

These things are solid. I ordered 4 and they came in one box. Don't skip leg day as 4 are heavy! I found the hardware to be high quality and sturdy. I like that it came with a guide and other pieces to make it turnkey once you add a door.

The product was at a good price and functionality for the door enabled my make it into her bedroom while using her walker.

great kit

Great value for the price. Comes with everything you need minus the door and handles. Overall, easy to install. I didnt want to cut a channel in the bottom of my door for the door guide that came with the kit, so I got a different one that uses rolers instead.
