Right out of the box I was having issues programming. The deadbolt did not come with instructions so I was left with trial and error. I got it installed in the door, but I had continuous issues getting it programmed. Before returning into the store, I installed a brand new set of batteries. It worked for about a week to two weeks and we are back to flashing red and beeping five times. I will be returning this.
Great lock at a better price
This lock was easy to pull the core of and rekey, a special tool was not needed and it utilizes kwikset pins. Quickly related to my existing house key and installed in less than 10 minutes. Programming was simple, the other reviews must not be able to follow directions because they were more than sufficient. The lock has been performing well! Solid investment!
No Internet needed.
no internet needed. Easy to install, my only complaint is the screws that are included are not long enough to reach the plate to install on the back of the door. I love that it has it own keys and you can program the lock. Our internet is sketchy to say the least with inclimate weather. Needed something that does not rely on power or internet. Perfect option, at a low price.

5 stars unit except for the programming manual
Installation was very easy. Took about 20 minutes including removing the old deadbolt. Installation instructions are 1 line every step mixed with 4 other languages. That could have been presented a lot easier by separating the languages to separate pages. The programming instructions ok ONCE YOU KNOW HOW IT's DONE. The manual tells you the first thing you need to do is tell it if your door is a left handed door or right. It does not tell you that you need to enter programming mode first. ...

Easy to install and very good quality. Great price for it. However make sure your older homes doors has enough space between the handle and deadbolt. Mine didn’t and I wasn’t able to install it. Will purchase another one that will fit.

Don't waste your time
This will be the second one of these that I have to take back to Lowe's this week. Install and the looks are actually quite good, but once you get into the programming, that's where the trouble lies. I couldn't even get this thing to program past the first step (recognizing left vs right door). Twice now. Customer service is not worth calling as all they do is go through the same manual that comes with it. It's junk, and if it can even start programming, I wouldn't trust the longevity of it...

This is so easy to install and to use. The back plate is kind of large, overall, but it works well. Smooth set up and easy to set the combo.

I really wanted to like this lock - and for the most part I do, but there is one major missing feature. There is no way to lock the door using the keypad (only unlock!) Pros: - Lighted keypad (which is great for nighttime) - It feels well built, not cheap - many parts are metal that I completely expected to be plastic - It works without any issues, every time - It allows for longer than the normal 4-digit code so many of these use.
