Good quality door

I purchased this same door previously and was very pleased with the quality. It does come with a screen even though the description says it doesn’t.

Delivery went well and no problems with the installation. However, within a week after installation, we began to notice amber stains between the glass. Never had any moisture issues, no condensation, just amber spots and streaks which were impossible to remove. After about 3 months the spots were throughout and were enough to obstruct view through the glass (see pics). Missing parts and no customer service

Installed door and when installing handle assembly realized some hardware was missing. No phone number or website listed in box or in manual. Called Lowes and after two days of attempts have not been able to speak to anyone who would be able to identify a screwdriver. Have an installed door with no handle and no answer in sight. A garbage product with worse service.

Door is a really nice door for the money

Door was an easy install with the exception of the lock set. The lock set is the normal 2 pc with a slat that goes through the latch assembly. The issue was, instead of like a normal one where the slat goes all the way through and into the interior side of the handle, this one has the slat on both sides that meet in the latch itself. Handyman was impressed with it

We decided to replace the slider in our basement last year to replace the old aluminum one that was 20 years old). A handyman quoted his labor at $350-400 so i decided to buy a better door than the cheaper ones available. I got many different quotes (primarily for Simonton sliders) but eventually settled on this one even though they did not have this in the floor model display at the local Lowes. It's a waste of money.

The door is less expensive so you save up front but it is not well built so it doesn't last. I've had mine for a year and the lock has fallen off and the rollers rusted and broke. The manufacturer told us where to buy new rollers and we had those installed but water comes into the track so it will just happen again. It's better to just spend a little more upfront than to constantly be repairing this one.

Don't waste your money

We thought we would save a few bucks so we went with this door. While it's an attractive door it's not without it's problems. When it rains water collects in the track on the inside of the house. After two years the outside lock corroded and fell off. Also I had to replace the rollers because one of them seized up and the ball bearings fell out. I wouldn't purchase this product again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Installed with son! Reversed the door direction!

Surprised that the cost of installation was more than the cost of the door, I was determined to save money and do it ourselves and not miss this opportunity to teach my son to give it a shot! I bought this because it had low E glass. My neighbor had got the one without low E and their back room gets pretty hot with the sun. The low E glass does not disappoint. The build quality was better than I thought. I only have one reall beef with this door. It says it is reversible from Left to right.
