I purchased this door based on the "expert" opinion at my local Lowes. They didn't have the door in stock, so I went online and had one shipped to the store. When I had my carpenter come to install it, he used the dimensions on the packaging for the rough opening and the dimensions were incorrect. My son and I installed this door over a period of a few days. It was the first time we'd ever tackled a sliding patio door (or any door) but the door is in and it works great. Good door for the price! Installed easy enough and with a couple adjustments, rolls just fine. Installing the door handle was a bit of a juggling act holding the 2 parts together while also holding the the insert for the screw in place to screw them together. But since you need 2 people to install it anyway you should have an extra pair of hands available. The only issue I had with the door is the joint welds in each corner of the frame. Excellent Basic Patio Door
For the price this is a pretty good value door. Rough opening needed was 59 x 79.5. Installed by myself in about 6 hours. This included the time to cut an opening and frame it for the door. Only one panel is removable. Once removed the door is fairly light weight and manageable by one person. The frame is flimsy and relies on the mounting flange to keep in straight which isn't a huge problem. Having the fixed panel in the door keeps it square making is slightly easier in my opinion. Terrible Quality
My issue still isn't resolved. I went to the Lowes where I purchased the door from and they offered me 10% back. Never offered to try and get the replacement parts for the handle, so I am still stuck with a 1x4 wedging my door shut. The best response that I received so far was "You should have brought the door back rather than install it." HORRIBLE - No More Lowes!
Sliding door was delivered with no handle (hardware). It was supposed to be included. Lowes apologized and told me they would have it to me in 1-2 weeks. I am incapable of properly LOCKING MY DOOR. My safety is apparently not their concern as I called and asked them to please expedite this and send me a door handle right away. Store assistant manager still said he couldn't get it here sooner than 1-2 weeks. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. No more Lowes for me.

Missing hardware
I ordered 9 of these doors. One set was missing a hardware/handle set. Calling overall customer care line just redirects me to the store, where either they don't answer, don't return messages, or don't know what to do. Until I get a handle, I have a completely useless door and am not happy! Good value for the price. I should have invested I the ones with the blinds in between the panes as blinds are much more expensive. Make sure you plum the frame up correctly. The weather strip can be difficult to install!
