Pellet Smoker Grill with Great Features

Overall it seems like a good quality smoker grill. I like the options and capabilities of it. Less expensive than a Traeger but from the reviews it is every bit as good. I had it assembled by Lowe’s for free. The only issue was some poor communication by Lowe’s. I have used it 3 times so far. For just smoking, it takes some getting used to since the meat(such as chicken) will be pink even though it is done. You have to trust the temperature probe. Really wanted to love Pit Boss but...

I’ve owned this Pit Boss model for a year now and within that year I’ve already replaced the faulty power cord, the control panel, the temperature probe and the ignitor. Customer service was always very helpful however it was through the online Chat and I did have a few issues where the call would drop and I would have to call back and start from the beginning, which was absolutely annoying. I have only had this model for under a year. about 3 months ago I noticed something wrong with it so I cleaned it up good and put new pellets back in and the box would smoke up a lot. So I stopped using it for the rest of the winter, cleaned it again, replaced pellets and again the pellet box smoked but this time it caught fire. so I threw it in the garbage. May not happen to all but sucks it happened to me.

Total Junk

This grill is JUNK. I bought one several weeks ago, and it quit working after one use. I called Pit Boss, and they sent a new control panel. However, I couldn't install it because the screws were impossible to remove due to how it was assembled by Lowe's. Bummer

The last Pit Boss that I had worked with zero problems from the first time i plugged it in. This one however keeps giving me fault code 71F when I plug it in. Then nothing. Won't turn on, no lights, nothing. I looked up online and the advice basically said it's the extention cord. Cool. I get a new extension cord and still nothing. Never received delivery of Pellet Grill

I am beyond disappointed with Lowe’s after purchasing Pitt Boss Pellet Grill on June 29, 2024 and being told, provided tracking number and never receiving item for the busiest holiday. I have been told that Lowe’s would deliver and assemble, then being informed on July 1 and 2 that Fed Ex would deliver but the item was not on the Fed Ex Truck. This is the 2nd Pit Boss I've owned so far and was thinking next friday to go to a bigger high tech Pit Boss. I make food at a small but very profitable road side attraction. Terrible product, terrible customer service

Bought this the day before Memorial Day. We did the burn off step, used it once. Worked great. Used it second time, got an Err message. Ok fine user error. Tried to used it a third tome, Err message. Followed all the trouble shooting steps. Nothing. Call customer service. Oh boy. So many things wrong with this purchase. First Lowe's built all of these units and let them sit outside uncovered. Absurd. Slight rust on it. Defective Product

Husband was so excited about his Father’s Day gift. Followed directions correctly for 1st time use and the smoker caught fire. We believe it is defective product so we are willing to try with it again with a different smoker. Unfortunately, Lowe’s requires us to physically return the product to the store. I was not given the sale price when ordering a replacement. I hope this is an error that will be corrected by Lowe’s. I’ll let you know how it goes.
