What Customers Are Saying
The Arrow PowerShot 5700 staple gun has a mixed performance. While some found it easy to use and effective, the majority of reviews indicate significant issues with reliability and durability. The positives include an ergonomic design and powerful stapling capabilities. However, the product frequently jams and malfunctions, with internal components breaking or failing after just a few uses. Many also noted quality control problems, receiving defective units. Overall, the consensus is that the PowerShot 5700 is an unreliable and short-lived product.

I had a stapler like this for many years and it worked awesome. Unfortunately it fell off a ladder and the handle snapped off. I purchased this replacement 9 days ago, just tried using it the first time today, and it is junk. Every 3rd staple gets jammed. I pulled out the staple holding magazine and you can see that it wasn't assembled correctly, I think that is why it jams. I will be returning it to the store and trying a different one. Hopefully it works.

Junk
Do not buy this product. It is junk. Using Arrow T50 1/4 in staples, I gave up trying to staple the paper on my insulation. Stapler was brand new, staples were brand new. It’s in the garbage now after less than ten staples. What a waste of money. Never again.

No consistency between staples
I was very disappointed with this stapler. 1 in 10 staples would go in wood, the rest would either jam up, not go all the way into the wood, or no staple at all. I was using the appropriate arrow brand staples. After a few minutes I was fine messing around with this and returned it for a tried and true T50 stapler, and finished my project. I am pretty shocked how poorly this worked given that it was made in the USA and by Arrow no less. The design is great, just wish it worked.

Terrible! Worked for two staples and that was all!
I tried to send a review just a few moments ago. My 5700M staple gun was given to me as a gift as one a 70 year old lady might be able to operate. I took it out for the very first time, and the first two staples went into my project perfectly, then it stopped. It is not jammed. It is not empty. I’m using the proper staples. When I pull the trigger, it spits a staple out limply on the table. There is no force or power behind it. I have emptied it, refilled it, same result. I am so angry. This is ...

10 years of frustrating jams
I have had mine for more than 10 years and have cleared more jams that I have driven staples, but I'm too cheap to replace it, but doing my last project tonight I decided it's simply no worth my time and am shopping now for a replacement and wanted to take a moment to warn others who are shopping for one to skip this one and keep looking. In theory, the trigger pushing being over the staple, instead of under it like most staple guns seemed genius, but most of the time after a full squeeze the pl...

Get Ready to Jam!!
This Arrow 5700 PowerShot Heavy Duty Staple and Nail Gun is the weakest link in my toolbox. Sadly it is so unreliable. I have only ever purchased Arrow T50 staples per the manual and followed all directions. Get your jelly jars out, Folks, 'cos all this guy does consistently is JAM. I finished exactly 1/8th of my most recent project. It leaves me frustrated and in the lurch every time. EVERY TIME. It halts projects until you: A) spend so much of the day unjamming it while crying or B) bo...

Don’t do it
Just bought this and got 10 staples in, which didn’t go all the way in I might add. I had to hammer them down. Now, it’s completely jammed. Now I know my way around tools and can disassemble this no problem, I just don’t want to. I shouldn’t have to. I have upholstered and used plenty of staplers to know this is trash and highway robbery for my buck. Not to mention the time it’s already taken from me . I do not recommend.

I usually give products at LEAST a two star.....
I don't know why we are locked in to a 5 star system when I finally found a product not even deserving a 1 star. I really want to ZERO this product because it is SO bad that I am shocked it's still on the shelves after two years. I am guessing people buy it and forget to use it and by the time they use it and figure out that it is garbage the return window is closed. That is exactly what this product is. I am not even mad about it. They must be making bank on this stapler because there was NO ...

great stapler
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this stapler after I borrowed my sons stapler. It is easy to use and fits my hands better than a regular stapler. It has jammed twice on me but still think it is a great stapler.
