crap

bought this as a Christmas present, and it's now October, we are still fighting with the company Bec its NEVER worked. says door open, and the fan won't come on. it's been such a battle. unfortunately this isn't on Lowe's it's on the manufacturer and they are the worst and most difficult to deal with! I will never buy from this brand again.

Please do not buy this, it is the worst

I regret that I waited longer then 30 days to decide just how bad this is. The igniter only works if the hopper is empty, which means you have to let everything burn away comletely each time, or empty it by hand. It also will not start with chunk charcoal. It may or may not get up to temp, you never know. Get down on your knees to clean out the ash pan. The pan also warped badly the first month, followed by the fire grate a couple of months later. Issues with display

I had issues with fan not detecting right after purchase and Lowe’s let me exchange it. Now I’m having the same issue and have to contact the company for a replacement again. I’ve only had it for a little over a year. For the price you have to pay I’m not sure it is worth it. As far as smoke it’s not as good as a pellet smoker. As far as charcoal it doesn’t light as fast and the grill isn’t ready as fast as regular charcoal grills and using a chimney so that is something to consider. I usually h...

Bad construction

I have had this smoker for a year and a half and I have the fire grate brake 3 times and the fire box go bad twice. I’m done with this smoker and I’m going back to an offset.

Extremely well made!

Fire Grate material inadequate

the grate that you slide in for the fire box to let let the ashes collect in the bottom tray and have the smoker operate properly is made of a material that just clearly can't hold up to the heat strain as you cycle cooks the longer you have the grill. Oklahoma Joe honoted the warranty i had had and sent a replacement part but after oklahoma joe was bought by charbroiler they no longer make that fire grate. Not impressed with the foresight of this company at all.

Trash

If I could give the grill zero stars, I would. Purchased grill, but certainly not worth the $1.300!!!! Grill would not hold heat and continued to beep. Auto lite did not work and I had to continue to manually light it every time it went out. Waste of time and had I not had my handy dandy charbroiled grill, my meat and cookout would have been a disaster!!! Please don’t waste your time or money!

Very Frustrating Smoker

Door sensors stuck in the open position so the fans won’t run consistently. WiFi and Bluetooth will not stay connected and firmware won’t download updates. Does not hold temperature at set level on it reaches there. Really wanted to like this smoker, but it has been impossible to use without issues popping up. May be a faulty unit- was prebuilt by Lowe’s and I double checked against the build manual once home.

In November I got my grill which was the 900 very similar to this one. I had change it because the fan stop working during a smoke process. "The replacement" works great 1st day, then failed next 3 days by the same issues people describe here. This grill is a Piece of crap.
