Excellent Wax Ring kit

I've never installed or repaired a toilet by myself before. My wife didn't think I could do it alone. This wax ring kit came complete with all the installation parts I needed (except for the toilet) and I was surprised how easy it was to install. The process proved so easy, now my wife wants me to replace all of the other toilets in the house with new ones.

Includes everything you need for a wax ring install. Bolts were easy to adjust height. Would recommend breaking off bolts after placing toilet over them and tightening rather than before, to ensure their is sufficient length.

The guy in the aisle actually recommended this when we were loading the toilet onto the cart, and honestly, thank goodness he did. The wax ring that comes in the box is pretty thin. This one is the jumbo size and it's what you actually want for a solid seal. Glad we grabbed it before heading to checkout. Do yourself a favor and just add it to your cart from the start. Worth it!!

It's better than the "Better than wax"

I tried the newer "better than wax" toilet bowl gasket about 1 1/2 years ago when I remodeled our 1/2 bath. When I found a weeping leak coming from under the toilet last week, I took up the toilet to find that the newer gasket had a blow out and was allowing a leak. Guess it wasn't "better than Wax", Went back to te old reliable wax seal. This Oatey is the industry standard by my opinion. It's thick reinforced and has a deep horn.
