What Customers Are Saying
The offset door hinges are highly praised for their significant benefits in improving accessibility and wheelchair clearance. The hinges are described as solid, durable, and well-made, with a sleek design. They allow doors to swing completely out of the doorway, providing an extra 1-2 inches of clearance, which is a game-changer for wheelchair users. While some minor modifications to the door frame may be required, customers report these hinges have been life-changing, enabling access to previously inaccessible rooms. Overall, the hinges are seen as a cost-effective solution compared to widening doorways.

Like most people, I needed this for wheelchair clearance through more narrow doorways. For this purpose, these work GREAT! The only reason for 4/5 is that I expected to just pop out the old hinges and install these, but it's not that simple. 1) The square edges and thick metal most likely will not fit correctly in your existing door frame and door. You will need to either chisel or use a handheld router to make the door's/frame's hinge gap both wider and deeper. If you do not, the door may not ...

These are awesome!
These solved my door-too-narrow-for-my-wheelchair problem. The screw holes lined up perfectly with the holes for the hinges that they replaced. The only thing we had to do was square off the mortise on the door and the door frame because the original hinges had rounded corners and these are squared off 90 degree corners. Definitely worth the little extra effort. And these hinges are heavy duty - I would've done with only 2 but since the doors have 3 hinges I replaced all 3. Can't beat the price ...
These are Stanley precision made, worth 4 times !
Offset/clearance hinges aren't stocked, only by order. Was hesitant to order these because of low price. Examined the photo they appear to be well made so ordered. I'm amazed. These hinges are best possible design to minimize hinge protrusion, formed to hug the door trim, others stick way out cause they're formed at 90 degrees. These have easily removed pin which if you actually DIY is a HUGE advantage. Lastly they are precisely formed so when closed they're very close to the standard hinge. It'...
A little goes a long way
I have to use a walker and a wheelchair around the house which makes me very aware of just how much USABLE door space I get from eacj doorway. The way most doors are mounted, the door never swings fully out of the way. This reduces the effective door width by 1.5 to 2 inches. These offset hinges move the fulcrum of the door off to the side and out of the way. Because the mounting plates of these hinges match the most common hinges, installation is a snap. Use the enclosed pin remover to take the...
Literally a life saver.
We purchased this product for our grandparents home to make the bathroom entrance more accessible with the Walker. It would've cost too much money to take out the door frame and put in a whole new one when they only needed about an inch of more space. Simple to install all we had to do was remove the existing hinges and replaced them with these new hinges and that was it. Their door frame was a little bit thicker than most doorframes now, since this was an older home, so we did have to cut out a...

Accessibility for under $25.00
Stanley Brass-plated hinges are a great tool to allow wheel chairs into a room. These heavy-duty hinges move the door out of the doorway when the door has moved 95 degrees That means there is about 1-1/2 inches more room in the doorway when the door opens. Other places sell these hinges for up to $20.00 each, but Lowes has them listed for $5.22 each, plus shipping. You can easily inlet the hinges yourself if you know how to use a chisel and a striking knife. The hinges come with screws for bo...
They work! Door access width increased!
These do generate about an added 1" to 1 1/2 inch space for the doorway... a big improvement for wheelchair and power chair pass-through. Installation was not tough. These are square-corner and not round-corner (as my routed insets were), which means I needed to chisel out the corners for the hinge to seat properly. Was not a big deal. The screw holes fit perfectly. Tip: It's definitely easier to disassemble each hinge, attach each half separately to the (1) door facing and (2) door edge, ...
Great for folks in powered/manual wheel chairs
My wife is in a powered wheel chair and having the door open wider without changing the door frame is great, especially for the cost of getting these hinges. You may have to use a chisel and hammer to fit these hinges to your door & door frame, just take a pencil, and align these to the existing screw holes, chisel out the needed space, attach hinge, re-attach door, and your good to go. Average time for a door with 2-hinges takes about 30-45 minutes, depending on size and weight of your door. I ...

Worked Great... But
Worked perfectly in for my on the doors i used it on. VERY disappointed that they seem to have discontinued this product. After i tried to purchase 2 more for another door. These hinges especially in bronze color, they are hard to find for less that $20-$30
Great feature for on my TRUCK!
I built a stake side fence with a double rear gate for the bedsides of my 2014 pickup truck. These particular hinges allow a full wrap-around for each gate. This means instead of the gates sticking out perpendicular to the sides of the truck while in the full open position, the gates actually wrap around so they are 'flush' to the outside of the fence when in the fully open position. These hinges also have removable pins so that I can remove the gates fairly easily from the fence sides. I'm glad...
