What Customers Are Saying
The curved shower curtain rod is easy to install and provides more space in the shower. Customers found the rod to be sturdy and well-made, with a quality finish that complements their bathroom decor. However, some experienced issues with the ends not sitting flush against the wall or the curtain hooks catching on the center connector. A small number also reported the rod becoming loose or falling down over time. Overall, the product is a good quality option for those looking to upgrade their shower setup.

I've done a lot of shower curtain rods in my 60 years, this isn't as easy as the very simple spring tension rods but it isn't hard to install at all. Once installed it stays in place unlike those. Our install is on ceramic tile and the bar is nearly as solid as any fixed hardware mounted bar I've ever installed. It's firmly in place although being tension mount I wouldn't hang any type of caddy that hangs from a bar on it. It holds a shower curtain and liner as it's designed to do. To clear up ...
So many problems with this shower rod
I really dislike this shower rod. Usually I can easily put up a shower curtain tension rod but this one was not easy. First off, I really hate the buttons to extend the rod. I want to extend the rod to the length I need without having to push a button at intervals. This was very annoying. I had to push the button to extend it, then when I pushed it again, it was too wide so I had to push the button to release the extension which would then snap back 2 or 3 buttons so I had to push the button fo...

Looks nice. Tension install failed. Studs instead.
Installed on drywall. Tried to simply use the tension feature, but it kept slipping down and marking up and chipping our drywall. Perhaps our liner and curtain choice were too heavy or the drywall wasn't flush enough for the tension to hold. Resorted to permanently installing into the wall and using the stud method. Word of wise for those that choose to do the same: either replace the provided screws with something with a larger head depth, or drill a bigger hole in the wall/stud. Manual says 1/...

Beautiful shower rod
After three years and many frustrations with other tension-mount shower rods, I decided to give this one final try and opted for this beautiful curved shower rod since the shower I have in the guest bathroom is on the smaller side. It was really easy to install using the instructions provided. I ended up mounting it a little higher so my curtain doesn't skim the floor - at first, I tried to bring the rod down a little so the curtain grazed the floor, but the rod wouldn't budge from where it wa...

Almost Perfect!
Paid the sale price of $30. I felt this was a very easy install with one person. You simply adjust the length of the rod so it fits between each wall with minimal space. Then put the right side of the rod against the wall where you want it to be. Keep constant pressure on the rod toward that wall and the rod won't move/slip. Then you use the star shaped nut on the left end to do your final adjustment. Once you have the left side touching the wall a bit (and without hanging anything on the rod) i...

Better built than rival "tension mount" shower bar
I was forced to buy a new tension mount shower bar, because the Glacier Bay one we had completely gave out after only three years of use in a two-person household. I can immediately see that this Moen bar is better built. Where the rival shower bar relies only on a spring inside the tube, this has a spring, a metal peg that slides to fit the correct hole, and a nice threaded expansion nut so you can really stiffen the tension on the bar. Very easy to install; much more solid than our previous mo...

Worst shower curtain rod
Everything is bad with this rod. Plastic end pieces are not soft & it made my new home bathroom drywall ugly with paint chipoff. Locking knob/spring tension head in the inner rod got stuck & took an hour to reposition it to the corresponding slot with a special tool. It’s quite tedious to install it by yourself. Better if you have other person help. After final installation, curtain rings are not smoothly sliding through, because of the step between inner and outer rods. I wonder how this got 4+...
Hello Azee we apologize for the difficulty you experienced with your Moen 57-in to 60-in Tension Mount Brushed Nickel Tension Single Curve Shower Rod...

Saggy
I didn't want to put holes in the wall and was most comfortable with a tension shower curtain rod. The rod looks nice and seems solid, until you put it up. Getting enough tension is impossible, we tried everything from hands to a wrench to get the bolt tight enough. The rod starts to sag as soon as you put the shower curtain hooks on it. It also left black marks all any where the ends touched a wall. Those at least came off with some cleaning. I have a second one of these coming in the mail and ...

Love this product!
My contractor installed tub tiles up to the ceiling and I didn't want to take a chance drilling holes. He recommended a tension rod, but I wanted a curved one. I found this Moen product at Lowes. It took a while to figure out how to install it. It's a little tricky for one person, but I got the job done. The covers were challenging but they finally clicked in. It looks beautiful and it's sturdy! I have a heavy clear liner (commercial grade) inside with a fabric curtain outside. I used the roller...

Difficult to get ends to snap on!
I purchased this curved tension rod and installed it yesterday. It was time consuming and somewhat frustrating because I was unable to get the ends to snap on. After numerous attempts, I finally gave up. With the cap pushed against the wall, the ends appear to be snapped on, but they are not. Luckily, there is a lip on the tile that will hold the bar in place so I do not believe it will be able to slide down as some folks have stated. It's a beautiful rod but the design could stand to be improv...
