My review and issue is not with the product. It’s is about the delivery and the customer service. I TRIED to buy and have this product delivered to my house. I didn’t even get the right product. I wanted the organic raised bed soil that is 1.5 cubic feet. What I received was in ground miracle grow soil that is .75 cubit feet. I ordered 15 bags and was delivered the wrong 15 bags. Great soil as far as how plants like it but every time I buy some I get infested with Fungus Gnats. Last year (4-2024) I had to toss out all my plants because I could not get rid of them. I thought it was just me, but after the review I saw it wasn't. This is basically some sandy brown dirt with some mulch. It isn't black like in the illustration. I did notice a strong manure type smell, but I didn't think twice because father always used composted manure in his gardens. I bought 30 bags of Organic Raised Bed Soil for my two raised bed gardens on Saturday April 19 and planted 4 tomato plants and two parlsley plants in them on Sunday, April 20th. For several years we've successfully started and grown a number of tomato plants in 21" pots filled with Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix. I wish I had read reviews before letting our lawn guy fill my new raised vegetable beds with the raised bed soil. It’s more like cheap mulch with chopped up wood and sticks than what I expected, a rich quality soil. These bags had wood chips from finished furniture?

I purchased 6 bags of the '100% Organic Miracle Grow Raised Bed Soil' and had read the reviews here to know there would be wood chips. The soil smelled like manure but I found a lot of what are clearly 1/2" wide by 1/8" in depth pieces of milled wood, very lightweight, with a matte finish. Some of the pieces had clear grooves on either side of 1/8" into the wood. It was clear to me the "wood chips" came from finished wood used in furniture or perhaps edging on kitchen cabinets?
