Really nice modern fan, but not great LED light
This Minka Havenworth fan is a nice new modern addition to any home. I really like the fan, I self installed it in less than an hour. the unit comes with a nice remote control offering 6 fan settings for both forward and reverse. My only concern is the LED light that came with the fan. the fan is 60" and designed for larger rooms. It is disappointing that they did not design the LED light for larger rooms as well. the LED light is very dim for a large room. I installed this unit in a 22' x 14' r...
Great modern fan, with minor flaws
Great modern look. It's very quiet and energy efficient due to a DC motor. LED fixture gives enough warm light in the room but due to its small size, it's very bright when you look at it directly. Air flow is not the greatest but enough. I was able to connect the light to a separate circuit (separate wall switches for light and fan) and also cross-connect it so that with only fan on, I can switch the light on with a remote as well, but beware this is a non-standard routing and make sure you link...
Great fans! But beware of Remote settings
Just had 2 installed by Lowes in a great room. Look great, seem well made, 6 speed selection. Light is fantastic. Moves a lot of air... BUT.... be aware, if you are going to have 2 installed they will interfere with each other!!! Be sue you set the dip switch (in the remote controller) to LEARN not Universal. Then you have to push a "learn" button for 3 seconds. Directions are hard to find in the manual. Once you do that, they will work fine.
Good Looking but Poor Remote
This fan looks very nice when installed but there is a problem with the remote. Besides taking about 8 - 10 seconds for the remote to respond to a change of speed, there is very little difference between speeds 4,5, and 6. I called Minka because I thought the remote is defective but they told me that this was normal. My opinion is that this is not normal but they just don't stand behind their products.
Recommend with reservations
The final product is nice and works well. Installation on the other hand, was a bear. I don't profess to be a skilled handyman, but I have installed several fans in the past. The number of wires on this one almost did me in. If you plan to use longer downrod, you will become a splice master... It just seems there would be a more efficient way.
Classic Centerpiece
Beautiful centerpiece to our freshly remodeled house. The light is NOT bright which is great for our room, but if you need bright light this one may not be for you. It does hang down further than it appears in the store because the blades are at the bottom of the fan near the light, so we're putting a shorter down rod on.
good fan baaaaaad light
THe light is horrible !!!!! About the same as three small candles. Im so mad took over an hour to in stall only to have a very very dim LED yellow tinge light sont waste ur time of this is the only light source in the room
I love the look of this fan and how much air it puts off. The only thing I didn’t like was it takes a long time for the fan to recognize which speed you are clicking and to change the speed. Everything else about the fan is great!

Nice looking fan. Air flow good, but not great. Average light. Basic remote works well. Fan makes a tik tik sound at times which is not loud but annoying when trying to sleep in the middle of the night. Possible that the installer messed up. IDK. We hired him through Lowe’s.

Not to buy it
It was difficult to install. Way too much wire for the cover even if you cut them shorter. The remote receiver barely fits and pinches the wiring against the top end of the drop poll. It starts very slowly amd doesn't push much air even on max.
