The Metabo HPT 10-in 15-Amp Single Bevel Compound Miter Saw is a dependable corded saw designed for trim work, framing cuts, and general carpentry use. The 15-amp motor provides consistent power, handling standard lumber and trim materials without noticeable strain. Cut accuracy is strong when properly calibrated, and the detent system helps with repeatable angle cuts for common trim and framing layouts. The single bevel function is straightforward and works well for typical angled cuts, even t...
As Usual
As usual, Lowe's does it again. I purchased this saw on 12/10 utilizing the Lowe's 10x points reward. I picked it up via the curbside option during the morning of 12/12. The employee brought the saw out to the car and placed it in the trunk of my car. I did not inspect the box prior to the employee placing the boxed saw in the trunk of my car - my fault. When I got home and opened the trunk, I immediately noticed that the box had previously been opened. I took the saw back to the store imm...
From 10-in 15-Amp Single Bevel Compound Corded Miter Saw Verified Purchaser
So far so great!
I'll admit that I've only had this thing for a hot minute and only used it for the first time tonight, to cut some angled posts for stair handrails. I have been looking at a miter saw for a while and have read a ton of reviews, gone to various big box stores to look at different models, etc. I just didn't want to pull the trigger, mainly because of prices. But when this thing was on sale for almost exactly $100, I felt it was worth a try, based on some really good reviews and online video revie...
Could have been a great little saw, but...
I just needed a cheap, basic 10" saw for my saw bench, and this one seems to fit the bill. The blade brake is pretty weak compared with other saws I have had, but everything was set up correctly and it cut squarely right out of the box. However, I have a major gripe with the dust collection port. I don't know how in the world they came up with this design, and the manual doesn't give you any information about the purpose of it. The outlet has a cut out section like it's made to fit some kind of...
Perfect entry-level, homeowner/hobbyist/DIYer tool
This miter saw is perfect for the DIYer that has a small shop or someone like me who is working on projects out of their apartment. Pros: 1. Came dead-accurate out of the box. Positive stops all work well, and everything was square 90 degrees (or whatever angle or bevel you desire) wherever I set it. You may need to adjust the gauge needles though (I did); 30 seconds and a Phillips screwdriver, no problem. 2. Despite being lightweight, it doesn't feel cheap. Plenty of well-machined metal where ...
Looks good, but ran into a couple issues
I haven't cut anything with this saw, I need a couple parts (ordered, not yet arrived) to complete setting it up for a crown molding task. It looks well made and designed. I ordered the optional left and right molding stoppers, used to prevent the molding piece from sliding down the fence when cutting "upside down and backwards." I received the left stopper, but the 6mm wing bolt won't screw in because the wing is too wide, it bumps against the saw structure. I ordered a hex screw to replace...
Going strong for 8 years, best miter ever
I bought this saw so long ago that it is under the old name and it is still my go to miter. Let me tell you it is far, far better than the more expensive ones. You will not get a straighter cut. You will not get a smoother or powerful cut. Durable as heck. This thing is a little BEAST.
Home Projects
Great price for the work this saw puts in. I bought this 2 years ago and still going great.
Immovable miter adjustment
I bought, and returned this saw in the same day. The setup was pretty easy, but a bit more work than other miter saws I’ve used. The miter adjustment on the saw I purchased was completely seized. I had to use way too much strength to get it to move at all, even after spraying it with lubricant, and it was very difficult to lock it to 0 degrees because it would overshoot the notch when trying to adjust. When I did manage to get it to the center notch at 0 degrees, the gauge registered that as 3 d...
don't buy
Bought 6 months ago. After little use it got very loud and had a hard time cutting through 1/2 inch cedar pickets and popped circuit breakers. Metabo tech support referred me to a local repair shop. they wouldn't take it because they would just send it to metabo for repair. Back to tech support who told me I would have to pay the ship it to them. Not worth it for a $127 saw.
