This is the Metabo HPT model #NR83A5(S)M, not the model NR83A5, which is shown on the outside of the box. The difference is this one doesn't have tool-less depth adjustment, the NR83A5 does. To make things better, I asked an associate at the store before purchasing if this gun if it had the depth adjustment and he said "Yes, they all do". It doesn't. I'll be returning this. I'll have to go back to the store a third time, as the return system was down when I tried to take it back earlier today....

Hundreds Of Thousands Of Nails Later...
After at least 5 years of everyday use building sheds with my old reliable NR83, it had a broken driver and I needed a replacement right away. Until I get the replacement parts which I realize was a new driver, bumper and a gasket I bought a NR83A5(S) 3-1/4" Plastic Collated Framing Nailer (Without Depth Adjustment) Metabo HPT 21degree but It came with a rafter hook (new to me). I wish I had gotten the one with depth adjustment but the store I bought it from did not have one, big plus if you're ...

To soon to give a 5 start
I am going to say that to give it a rating it is very early I framing and use Hitachi to do it but I have had the NR83A2 (S) model for 10 years and I can say that this model is a tool that served me very well, instead I bought another NR83A5 model And it has not had the same relevance since in less than 6 months of 6 months with very little use it has decomposed 2 times and in less than 1 year 4 times and without giving it the use that I give to the Model NR83A2 (S) now I bought the model NR83...

Great Value, Great Quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've waited to review until I shot several boxes through this gun. Overall, this is a great value and great quality nailer. I was using an old Grizzly 21°, and it finally got to where it missfired every other nail. I own several Hitachi pieces and love the quality, so I gave this gun a try. Hitachi. To Metobo is just a name change.. Best purchase I've made for the use. I've done full remodels down to lite repairs and this nailer never fails. I'...

The NAME CHANGED, but the quality hasn't
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have own this nail gun for more than 6 years and it has not failed me once. I have shot 3 1/2", 3", 2" and 1 5/8" nails through the gun and never had one major issues with it. I have used nails from all different brands without an issue. Roughly 10k nails were sent through the gun without an issue. Im happy that I bought this gun and I would of done it all over again. The only thing I would change is that I would have brought a framing...

Warranty is a Pain
The warranty is a huge pain. Why can't Metabo allow customers to return the product to Lowe's and just swap out a new one? Neither of the Lowe's near me offer any warranty repair. Mine came apart on me during use and I can't get it back together. I had to buy a 2nd one to continue working. I thought getting the warranty fixed would be easy but it's a huge hassle. Just buyer beware: Although these have a 3 or 5 year warranty, making a warranty claim isn't exactly easy.
Best tool for the job
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tool about 6 months ago for a privacy fence build. It made the job SO MUCH EASIER!! very few jams at first and I think those were my fault because I have never used one of these before. Once I got the hang of hit, zero problems and the work went by quickly. I would recommend this one over anything else. Trust me, I started the job with a HF special which broke after 20 boards. So I just but the bullet and bought this one like I wa...
