What Customers Are Saying
The product has mixed reviews, with some users finding it well-made and easy to use, while the majority reported frequent jamming issues, poor nail feeding, and overall unreliability. Many reviewers strongly advised against purchasing this tool, citing constant frustration and the need to frequently clear jams. However, a few users did report positive experiences, noting the tool's efficiency and power when it worked properly. Overall, the consensus appears to be that the product is a finicky and problematic tool that frequently disappoints users.

Seems well made but this nailer is more finicky than Bostich. In using both of them, side by side, and even using the same coil, the Metabo is nice when it is working. Smoother, and the depth control works better. However, the Metabo is not reliable when using certain nail lengths. A coil of 2-3/16" jammed frequently on Metabo, much less on Bostitch. Switching to 2-1/2" and the Metabo became more reliable. I was using Bostitch stainless coil nails that are universal, but I will try some Metabo 2...

Beast!
I have been using this for 2 years now. It has never jammed on me. Loads easy and works like a beast, all day, everyday. If it did fail on me at this point Id go back and get the same one without hesitation. Thanks for making a tool that comes to work day after day.

Pretty good nailer
Overall I really like the nailer. I feels solid and able to work well long-term. The plastic housing holding the nail coil is the one downside. I could see where it is lighter and I know when I am getting low on nails. But, I would rather have a metal housing that isn't going to crack when storing the gun in a tool box with a bunch of tools. Course it may never happen; it feels heavy-duty in every other detail.

Bad reviews are from improper loading.
It's time for me to buy a new one of these guns. My last one got stolen. I got tons of service out of it. In the cartridges area the rotisserie is height adjustable to accommodate the length of the nail spool. If the height is too low or too high, you will experience jams. I wouldn't recommend this gun for anything over 2 1/2" nails. It's light because it's not as powerful as a full on framing nailer. I use this gun to nail down 5/4 pressure treated decking with galv ring shank nails, back naili...
Siding nailer
The metabo hpt siding nailer is legit. This thing is light weight and comfrtable to use all day when installing sheathing panels on roof and walls. This nailer has lived up to the metabo name. We still have nailers and heavy duty staplers from the hitachi days and metabo framing nailers that are still running like brand new and we expect this coil siding nailer to do the same. We have used many different brands in the past, but when it comes to air nailers no one does it like metabo hpt.

Sheet like a butterfly, sting like a bee
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my favourite gun to pull out of the trailer, and not only because sheeting is my favourite part of framing, but because of how light and compact the profile of the tool is but still delivers just the right amount of power to get the job done quickly and efficiently. The plastic parts are a little weak though. The tool takes the abuse but if anything is gonna go it's the plastic case and coil shard protector. See through casing a...

Great nailer. Very consistent.
I bought this a few weeks ago with the impact driver combo kit. I’m using it to rebuild my fence in the backyard as well as some other projects I have going on later. I had a pretty bad jam on the 2nd nail fired using 1.5” stainless nails. The feeding system jammed up and the striker did not return home. It was difficult to clear the jam but I got it all sorted out. This was largely user error. I’ve found this nailer likes to be oiled fairly heavily. I applied 4 drops of oil or so before the fi...

Biggest tool purchase regret of all time
I bought this nailgun with excitement hoping it would help me out. Soon i would find myself cursing the world constantly. This thing is the biggest piece of garbage ive ever bought. I have tried everything. It must be me right? Read the entire manual, tried different nails. Tried different settings. Everything i could to make the almost 400$ worth it. Maybe i got a dud? Unsure but i will never buy another metabo product as long as i live for this thing has the hardest time shooting more than a s...
Great asset!
I have had my first Metabo nailer about 8 months and it has been a great asset. It is light and performs flawlessly so when my old nailer that I can not get parts for blew a seal recently my first choice was to buy a second Metabo. I am happy with my choice.

Avoid at all cost, return if you can.
I really hope you didn't buy this garbage... Don't even think about it. If you want a tool that jams frequently this is the gun for you. If you want a gun without a hook this gun is for you. If you want a tool that cannot go more than a dozen nails without jamming this gun is for you. If you want to be frustrated so much your neighbors can hear you cursing. My favorite part is when the pressure isn't changed at all but I get nails that blow completely through the siding and then some that don't ...
