Very nice woodstove and nice quality for the money. Same model as others online but much cheaper at Lowes. I can' see a difference in this from very similar ones with different names online.

Decent Stove
To be quite honest all these negative reviews of this stove not lighting or performing well are operator and or instalation error lol. My home is Barely 1200sqft but was built in the 1800's you can feel the cold air seeping in (all orginal windows in need of replacement). And yet I can get this home up to temperature in the dead of NH winter. This is however a clean burn stove dont expect to cut down a green tree and throw a log in. We'll seasoned wood makes all the difference. My chimney length...
We recently installed this woodstove. So far we haven't had any problems with smoke when we open the door as others have stated. The stove appears to have a good air flow. The stove heats well and is very efficient. For under a $1,000.00 this stove is fine. A brand name stove is well over $3,000.00. Just like starting a fireplace it takes time to get a good bed of coals. The manal on the stoves single wall stove pipe clearances appears to state two different clearances from the back wall. We el...
Good for the money
OK so I bought this stove after seeing a lot of bad reviews. Having said that, I agree it's got some issues. Specifically the air flow. As soon as you see the air flow valve (which only moves about 2-3 inches) you know you will have to crack the door to get the fire going; however with a proper chimney draft you shouldn't get smoke back in the house. After getting a nice fire going I was able to close the door and it burned very efficiently. The specs don't list the BTU rating because it's ...

Don't buy this stove. Weirdly designed
I did not like the fact that this stove smokes alot. Even when the air vent is closed, smoke and ash from the firewood comes out the front every time the door is open. It also has a weird way for the smoke to be released. I ended up taking the top insulation and fireproof piece out on the top interior so the smoke doesnt have to zig zag around. It can burn and go straight up. I thought this would help the smoke release, but it still was the same. Smoke coming out when the door is open. It also t...

Works fine
This is a 2nd year review. Biggest problem I had was getting it loaded in my truck at the store. It seemed nobody at the store could run a forklift, and most employees looked away and got busy quick. I found 1 young employee that looked to play football and we put it in the back of my truck. The thing weighed 400lbs which was about what both of us weighed together. The store should have a better way to help a customer with a heavy load. Guess where I won't be buying a fridge! HUGE THANKS TO T...

Definitely an upgrade from my last stove
Ok, so I want to cover a few things here. The reason I gave this stove a 4/5 is TWO reasons. Reason (1) The BTU output. It doesn't list it under the specifications but if you do some research you will find out it's only around 50,000. (not a lot). I took a long time to research which stove I wanted in my house and I was hoping for around 80,000-95,000 BTU's. BUT this stove was sooo cheap at only $799.00, I figured I'd give it a shot and honestly, I'm not disappointed. Having said that I ...

Better than decent stove
I've read all the reviews. Modern stoves are not designed the same way as older ones...they vent in the front on purpose. We have this one (2024) and another (J**ul)...(2023). I'd take this over that on any day. Cost less than 1/2 as much. Glass stays FAR cleaner. Lights ALOT easier. Yes, it helps to keep the door partly open when you light it. Soaking wet wood won't burn in any new stove. They aren't designed to handle it. Once this lights, I push the vent in to nearly closed and it burns for ...
Excellent stove, highly recommend!
So as a chimney sweep and wood stove installer for almost 20 years I felt I had to give my recommendation. This stove for the price heats well, is very efficient and burns very well. My only suggestion would be to install air inlet control in front of the stove below the door to give more control for regulating air to fuel. The little damper is good for keeping the burn out of the overfiring range and most people are not monitoring the temperature with a surface thermometer. Also I was pleased ...

Airflow is minimal
Airflow is not very good, and there is more opportunity for backdraft than actually getting it to work properly. It is in a cold area and it takes forever to get going, but I have to take the plug out of the bottom everytime just to get enough airflow to get it going and heaven forbid we let it die out ever, it just spits out smoke everywhere as it cools and causes a little backdraft.
