When working it was a great machine but it failed completely after 6 years of operation. I changed out the noise filter, main control board and the control lock and it still didn’t work. Left to repurchase another unit unfortunately.

Read all about it!
I'm only giving this two stars because it still works after five years. It's been the most annoying washer I've ever had to deal with in my entire life. Too much water, too little water... you can't just wash anything without babysitting it. (Impellers suck for top loading washing machines with bad programming.) Can't pull the clothes under? Let's add more water and make it more impossible! It gets maximum air in everything through the cycles. If you try to push it down and fix it, it has to s...

Needs to be recalled and sent replacement part
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer started off good. However it seems to have a small issue that should be a recall that LG does not seem to care about. The start button has a pressure sensor behind it that is very sensitive in lack of better words does not work. If you google it you can see this model has this problem, that many people are dealing with. For such a reputable company and with many of the machines having the issue im not sure why LG would not try to re...

Horrible machine that makes clothes dirtier
Honestly it's a horrible washer. My clothes are never clean coming out and I've tried changing detergents as well as washing at a friend's place. It's the washer. Part of me thinks there's something blocking the drainage hose so dirt and grime can't really get through, but the lint trap is inside of the machine so the only way to tell if that's the case is to completely disassemble the washer. Half the time my clothes are dirtier after being washed. I've tried doing the washer clean cycle multip...

This washer makes me angry
Don’t let the looks fool you. Worst washer I have ever used. We only got it because our 20 year old one finally bit the dust. This thing doesn’t clean even the smallest of stains!! You can still see and smell deodorant stains whereas my old one got my clothes so bright and clean. Even bleached sheets in this washer don’t come out looking brand new like our old ones did. Not a single stain was left in the old washer! This washer not having an agitator may have given more space, but it took the mo...

DL error problem
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in 2022 and since then I was getting the DL error code. It was very frequent. we are a family of 3. So our usage is very light and we maintained the washer well. But still we got this error very often. Since I had the lg premium care, was able to get a technician fix this every time even after the first year. They replaced the door latch twice and still don’t fix the issue. Sometimes I fixed by resetting the washer as per the lg h...

Not the best Experience
I bought this LG 5.5 Cubic Ft washer because of the large drum. I replaced a smaller LG washer, both new and old had no impellers. My experience using this washer was not good. It washer completed a regular cycle of kids clothing normally and with no issues but then when I washed 8 bath towels in the Bedding cycle, the issues began. During the rinse cycle the washer loaded itself full of water a total of 2 times, add the water used for the wash cycle and that is a lot of water usage! Then ...

Minor Flaws But Solid Performance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I reluctantly went with an impeller washer as opposed to one with an agitator. I have only ever used a machine with an agitator and this took some getting used to. I am still unsure if I like this type of machine. Let me start with the detergent dispenser: it is small, awkward to use, and a bit on the flimsy side. Not wild about the fabric softener dispenser being in the same tray. I have had one load that did not fully dispense the fabric soft...

Not My Favorite
Washing machines are missing the basics these days. I know how much water, temp, etc. These have all these preset programs but no way to really set it manually. Also, without an agitator, things don't get very clean. We barely put any clothes in it because the only washing action is the impeller at the bottom. There's almost never enough water and having to stand and wait for it to finish dispensing water so i can press more water is frustrating. Worse still, if it's paused for more than a coupl...

Not ready for prime time. Huge disappointment
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an 11 year old LG washer and dryer, from the first series of their no-agitator washers. They were absolutely terrific, and gave me zero problems in all of those years. They did finally wear out, so I replaced them with the equivalent current models this past fall. What a huge disappointment these are. 1)The washer cuts holes in my clothing. 2) If I use any powdered products, I have to dissolve them completely in water before ad...
